"Making Kotohira Town a Digital Nomad's Hub"
Aiming to make Kotohira town where you can make friends and want to visit again and again.

Kotori Coworking & Hostel KOTOHIRA is Shikoku's first co-living facility, aiming to attract digital nomads and revitalize the local area. Kotohira Town is a compact town where it is easy to build relationships with loccal people, which is a key attraction. We want to make it a place where digital nomads can live, not just stay. Using Kotori as a base, we aim to foster interactions with the people of Kotohira Town, make friends, and create a place that you will want to visit again and again.
Kotohira Town: Aiming to be a place you'll want to visit not just once, but many times.
Kotohira Town in Kagawa Prefecture is a town rich in history and culture, known as the gateway town to "Konpira-san." Mount Zozu, where the Kotohira Shrine is located, has been a landmark for the Seto Inland Sea route since ancient times, and the shrine is still revered as the "God of the Sea" who ensures safe voyages in the Seto Inland Sea. During the Edo period, it was a place admired by people all over Japan, with the phrase "Once in a lifetime, visit Konpira-san" reflecting its significance, making a pilgrimage to Konpira a major life event. Kotohira is a small town with an area of 8 square kilometers and a population of about 7,900. It has been designated as a "priority area for challenges" due to its declining population, which poses a risk of disappearing. Despite these challenges, local players have taken it upon themselves to address regional issues, promoting a shift from "public aid to mutual aid" and advocating "local regions and individuals as main players." In recent years, Kotohira has also become a pioneering area where the sharing economy and technology are being implemented in society, including in transportation, human resources, and real estate. Among these initiatives, Kotori Coworking & Hostel KOTOHIRA, which opened in February 2024, is Shikoku's first co-living facility. It features a coworking space and a kitchen for self-catering, making it ideal for medium to long-term stays, and has an English-speaking community manager on-site. It is available to nomad workers and guests from other facilities, serving not just as a place to stay but as a gateway to the local community, offering a "living-like-travel" experience. By connecting visitors with local residents, Kotori aims to create a space for innovation and co-creation.

HAKOBUNE Building
To create a place where everyone can more easily engage with art, whether by appreciating or creating it themselves, we are renovating a building over 50 years old. This multi-purpose facility will allow artists and creators to stay, create, exhibit, sell, and interact.
