achicochi LLC offers Coliving experience for digital nomads using cultural property buildings to allow visitors from overseas to experience the traditional culture and lifestyles of Kyoto and Japan and is seeking individuals to work as Coliving caretakers and to help maintain the cultural property buildings while living nearby.

The Yamaguchi Family lived at the foothills of Nishiyama in Kyoto for many years and operated as a "shoya" (village administrator). The current 20th generation family head continues to carry on the family's traditions today while remaining mindful of the lifestyles of 100 years ago. Water for the building is still sources from wellwater which flows down from Kyoto's Nishiyama and the "okudosan" (traditional cooking stove) is still in working condition as well. This current recruitment offer is for Coliving for someone to live in an apartment 1 minutes' walk from the Taikoukyo cultural heritage. The position offers a variety of opportunities for interaction and contact with people from a wide range of countries and involves providing a place for these people with a chance to experience a place of Japanese cultural value.

*The current offer seeks someone who is able and willing to stay for 1 month (30 nights) or more. The living environment is a quiet area in the suburbs of Kyoto with easy access to central Kyoto in about 30 minutes by train and walk.
